Where is my Head?

After trips to Portland, OR, and to Portland, ME, I am back to stitching and blogging. Throw in a bad case of poison ivy, and a boring budget meeting in Cleveland, and I am ready for summer to end. Never even got the swimsuit out of the drawer!

Oregon was fun, especially the afternoon I spent at Acorns & Threads. Wagon, what wagon?? Just had to get the large check fabric used for Summer Soapbox, and lots more goodies.

Visiting my folks and my daughter, who is staying with them for the summer before returning to UMaine, was very enjoyable and restful. Of course, we had to have our traditional lobster feed:

This is about how far I was on Sailor's Knots before my schedule went haywire:

And here is my progress as of this morning!

  1. It's looking great!
Sounds like you did have a fun summer!

  2. Hope you had a great time at A&T. Everyone is great at enabling there!

  3. Your stitching looks great!!!

  4. Oh my goodness that lighthouse design is GORGEOUS!! What will it look like finished?? Who designed it?

  5. oh geez maybe I could read to the left and see who made it myself!! ;o)

    but it's still amazing!!

  6. Sounds like you had fun on your vacation. I love that piece you are doing. Great progress so far.

  7. What a beautiful piece. As someone who loves all things to do with the ocean how could I not love this?
You are making great progress - will look forward to cheering you over the finish line.
